Let Me Shine (LMS) is a non profit organization that provides transitional housing, life skill trainings, and community outreach services to at- risk teen mothers. LMS is intended for positive teen mothers between the ages of 15-19 who are pregnant or with one child residing in North Carolina. LMS was created to help homeless and disadvantaged pregnant/parenting adolescents to secure a brighter, more stable future for themselves and their babies by empowering them to create positive life outcomes through education and support is our mission at Let Me Shine.

Our main goal at LMS is to help teenage mothers make the transition to independence. We at LMS offer teen mothers a positive family environment that gives them real opportunities to become good parents, finish school, and join the workforce by providing nurture and support. We allow teen mothers to establish emotional and familial bonds through the support of our caring and dedicated staff and volunteers. In our homes young teen mothers live under adult supervision with their children. We offer in one setting the three fundamental elements teen mothers need if they are to have a chance to succeed: nurturing and support, structure and discipline, and socialization. At LMS help and support go hand in hand with obligation and responsibility.
